World Missions Summit III

We had the opportunity to attend the World Missions Summit III in Fort Worth, Texas along with missionaries Lattis and Sharlotte Campbell.

We presented Alaska Missions at 3 one hour workshops and at our booth.

IMG_1011 The evening Gatherings were deeply moving. Tears came to my eyes as I watched 4500 college students worship God with complete abandonment. On Sunday, 950 Students responded to the call to give a year and pray about a lifetime.

IMG_0988They flooded to the alter area and started singing I give myself away so you can use me.

This act of dedication touched me to my very core. Our future is Bright! Students told me they wrote ALASKA on their Give A Year commitment cards. While sitting at DFW waiting for my flight back to Alaska, a girl came up to me and said, “ I recognize you from the World Missions Summit. You are from Alaska. My friend filled out the 1 year commitment card and wrote Alaska on it.” I know we will see fruit from the seed we planted!

AK Trail Ministry

*Today was also a big day for Pastor Terry Hull and myself  We drove out ahead of the mushers on Terry’s snow machine and handed out 1,250 “Mush To Life” booklets with a “Mush to Life” lip balm in a zip lock bag.

It only took 15 miles to hand out all the gifts. There were 5,000 snow machines counted on the Iditarod trail today, according to the head trail groomer.

IMG_1105In John 20:21 The Lord said again, “Peace to You! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” Many times Terry and I heard people tell us that we were God sent or heavenly sent to them. They needed the Mush to Life lip balm for the healing of their lips. Then they would ask about the “ Mush to Life” booklet.

Live Webcasting

For the first 3 months of this year we have had 5,411 Computers and 4,428 iOS devices view live streaming. This is a total of 9,839 individuals or groups that have connected to live services and special events from Alaska.

We continue to have opportunities outside the expected church setting.

IMG_1121 The memorial service for Pastor Tom Madole, who was working as Village  Public Safety Officer in Manokotak, was viewed online from all regions of the state. We are honored to provide DvD’s of the service to VPSO officers all across Alaska. A small TV station in one of our locations will rebroadcast the service to their region. These special events provide us additional opportunities to get the Gospel into every home in Alaska.

U.S. Missions National Rep.

We attended meetings with the Intercultural team at American Indian Bible College in Phoenix in February. I’m humbled and honored to work with Malcolm and the team in headquarters and to represent our awesome Missionaries in Alaska. Great days are ahead!

Please join us in prayer for workers to Alaska!

AKYC
The Alaska Youth Convention was held October 25-27. Youth from all over the state traveled in to Anchorage to attend.

Those that were not able to attend in person, thanks to technology, were able to watch the services live via our internet broadcast with V2V.

Bethel Camp Meeting
Danean and I traveled to Bethel for Camp Meeting November 5-9. Two Wasilla Masters Commissions students assisted with the camera setup and filming.

A live broadcast feed was sent out for anyone that couldn’t make it to camp meeting. What an awesome time of worship led by Heidi Zweifel,

morning speaker, Caleb Dotomain, afternoon sessions with Heidi Zweifel and Randy Wren on children’s and youth ministry and evening services with Tiff Shuttlesworth.

Missions
During the fall season we had opportunities to hold missions emphasis services and speak to groups about AK Missions.

Provided support for monthly AKSOM simulcasts and other AK Ministry Network events. Participated in the fall U.S. Missions National Field Representative retreat and strategic meetings with fellow missionaries. I have also enjoy serving on the Alaska Missions Team with Supt. Welch and Missionary Lattis Campbell.

Alaska Missions Recruiting Video

Spring 2012

The latest update from Missionaries Terry and Danean Hull working in Alaska. We have been busy…

I traveled to Western Alaska to the villages of Emmonak and Alakanuk this spring. A team of men from Abundant Life Assembly of God in Sterling, Alaska arrived on site the first week to complete remodel work on the parsonage in Emmonak.

Emmonak Parsonage

The team laid new flooring in the parsonage and painted both the parsonage and sanctuary. During the second week, Pastor Jimmy and Maggie Okitkun from Kotlik, traveled to Emmonak.

Alakanuk Girls

On Sunday morning we traveled via snowmachine to Alakanuk to be with Pastor Marvin Paul and his congregation. We had a great time of ministry and fellowship. While in Emmonak and Alakanuk, I worked on recording a missions training video, with the help of Jimmy, Maggie and Marvin.

Networking Summit

I had the privilege of attending the Alaska Missions Networking Summit @ Victory Bible Camp. We were told this was the first time that this many Missions Sending Agency’s, Missionaries and Para-church organizations had ever gathered to discuss Missions.

Missions Networking Summit

It was great to connect with others and get the pulse of what is going on with the “big picture” of Missions in Alaska. I’m looking forward to partnering together with fellow workers in the harvest to advance the Kingdom of God.

Live WebCasting

Since our last newsletter, we have added additional churches online and are continually busy with live webcasts.

Missions Networking Summit

So far this year we have had 8755 computers from 36 countries connected to live services and special events from Alaska. The target is our back yard “Bush” Alaska but, we are reaching around the world.

AK Trail Ministry

We were involved in several Dog Sled races and Snow Machine events this past year. I’m excited to report a new opportunity coming up next Jan-Feb. I have filed an application to travel the Iditarod trail in 2013.

Emmonak Parsonage

While on the trail, the group I will be traveling with will stop in each village to conduct school assemblies. With the cold temperatures during this event, I will be required to have some additional gear. Let me know if you’d like to invest!

U.S. Missions National Rep.

We have received appointment as National Field Representative for Alaska with the US Missions Intercultural Department.

U.S. Missions Hallway

I’m humbled and honored to serve as liaison for US Missions Intercultural Director Malcolm Burleigh. Giving support to our US Missionaries in the area of missionary care and representing Alaska on the National level.

We appreciate your prayers and financial support. With the outlook of the economy we have fallen off budget slightly, but God is in control and we believe He will supply our every need. Thank you once again.

3rd Quarter 2011

Camp AN is Growing

We had the largest attendance to date @ Camp Agaiutim Nune this year. God always sends us workers specific to the needs.

Teams arrived to connect the new generator and set up the new sawmill. We are excited for the growth God is bringing to this remote Bible Camp in Western Alaska!

His Spirit is moving mightily in our people. During teen camp, we had a girl receive healing in her ear. She reported “I can hear clearly out of this ear for the first time in my life”.

One young man told me “I feel so light” after praying with him to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Praise God for these miracles and others during camp!

Nome Missions Outreach

18 team members from Pratt Assembly of God arrived in Anchorage – headed for a missions outreach to Nome, Alaska.

Once on site, groups scoured the village with invitations and candy announcing VBS for the younger children during the day and following up with services in the evening.

VBS was a great success with 25-45 in attendance on a daily basis.

It is always exciting to see hearts and lives changed for His Glory!

North of the Arctic Circle

September found us traveling north of the Arctic Circle. Pastors JR and Rochelle Markle were awesome hosts for the Barrow Camp Meeting.

It was so nice to feel welcomed by the warmth and friendliness of those we met. We felt right at home.

Camp Meeting services were broadcast nightly with many watching in state, the lower 48 and some from other parts of the world.

In October we had live WebCasts of the Dedication Celebration Services from Point Hope. What a joy to join in the Celebration of the new facilities. These folks have finished this beautiful building with no debt!

While in Point Hope we installed a satellite dish for live streaming. On Saturday, Dr. Lattis Campbell taught the first ever AKSOM class live from a Village location. This is a “dream come true” for us!
