This fall we have been busy with several live WebCasts.
Memorial Service
The first of October , we went to Wainwright to do a live webcast from the school gym of the Rev. Gregg Tagarook memorial service.
He was a nationally appointed US Missionary and Pastored in several Villages in Alaska since the 1970’s.
We had 623 folks join us on Video and 169 Audio. One one of those was a family member that could not fly back but watched on the live WebCast. They responded to a plea from our District Secretary James Duncan for someone to pick up the torch and continue on with ministry in Alaska.
That person is now enrolled in AKSOM classes to pursue being a Pastor some day.
AKYC 09
During the Alaska Youth Conference in October we had an average 400 users on during each service.
These users were from 19 different countries and 20 States from the US. Let me share some interesting locations. The 2nd most users were from Washington DC. The 5th most from University Alaska Fairbanks. 9th most were from Oklahoma State University. Others further down the list from the California Dept of Corrections and Montana State University. We had students from several Assembly of God Bible Colleges online as well.
One interesting story is from a location in Alaska. A group of students attending night classes talked the teacher into showing the Conference on the projector during class. Some of the students found out about the live WebCast from facebook thru some of their friends. None of the students or the teacher attended youth meetings or the local church. It was reported that they were deeply touched by the Power of God during these services.
Other reports came in of healings and other miracles happening while folks were joining us live on the Internet for this WebCast.
Bethel Camp Meeting 09
We also went to Bethel Alaska with a team to do the live webcast of the Western Section Camp Meeting.
We did a live Webcast of this event. I'm in the process of making DvD's to mail out to all the churches in the Western Section in Alaska.
Folks came from several Villages in Western Alaska for this week of special services seeking God's touch. We had an amazing week with many lives touched by the Power of God!
